The other day I was taking my daily walk through our neighborhood. As I approached a stretch of road that passes a pond on the right side and a creek on the other, I saw a pretty fox standing serenely in my path. I’m used to wildlife frolicking in the water-rich area. Snakes cross frequently, and once a doe nearly ran me over trying to get to the pond for a drink. The fox was new. Thinking the fox would run off as I approached, I maintained my steady pace towards him/her. When I got about twenty-five feet away, I realized the fox stood motionless, completely unperturbed by me. I slowed. I stopped and took a picture. Pardon the quality; I really didn’t want to get too close. Doesn’t he/she look ferocious? I think something had to be wrong, like Rabies, or he/she would have run. Anyway, I turned and retraced my steps to home. My husband and sons laughed at me. So unfair.

Still on the nature subject, I have been using this great new shampoo by Monat (Modern Nature). I swear it’s like fertilizing my hair. As a child, I always wanted long hair, and my mother hated styling it, so she preferred keeping it short. I think my hair was scared to grow, so for many years, it would get to a certain length and stop growing. Not now! Heavens, I’m looking forward to having it cut next month. If you’d like to try any Monat produces, message me via the blog or through Instagram. I’ll send you information.
